Mission & Purpose
Living Oracles is a micro-imprint. What that means, in practical terms, is that we are a modern publisher that fully utilizes both traditional and advanced technologies to bring our authors' works to market.
As a business, we hold extremely high standards for whatever we publish. Feeling that we did the very best we could for our authors is important to us. This means pressing some of them to achieve excellence beyond an initial level of comfort. Ultimately, this produces a work that everyone is proud of, regardless of its topic or genre. It also produces a great work of high value that any family or individual can feel confident and safe in purchasing or giving as a gift.
We view ourselves more like servants and helpers, than Eiffel tower publishers with the required arrogance and pomposity. We are here to care for and assist our authors, not reject them. We realize that each author is a work in progress. Some have enormous experience, while others have none. Some approach us with only a wispy shadow of an idea, while others have a polished manuscript in hand. All authors are welcome here at Living Oracles; however, that doesn’t mean we publish everything that comes our way. Not by a long shot.
What it means is we will communicate with you and treat you with respect. We will work with you if we think you have potential. We won’t string you along if we don’t like your idea. We want you to be successful as an author and will help you understand the publishing process. Probably more than any other business, publishing is dominated by the necessity of doing the right things, in the right order. When this is done, the result can be amazing. Now, this doesn’t happen for everyone, but if you are an author who is willing to work hard and invest in your work, there are people within the Living Oracles’ network of professionals who will support you.
This is our vision and strategy: We are agile and responsive to our authors so we can bring their literary works to market in a timely fashion and return royalties to them that are higher than the traditional publisher. Our purpose is to deliver high quality, high value, exciting entertainment, inspirational and educational materials, to a family market and to those who are tired of slogging through books full of gratuitous sex, violence, and profane language.
